3. Full Day Cheese Lovers Tour in the Cape Winelands
Indulge in one of the oldest food pairings, cheese and wine, at some of the most legendary wine farms in the Cape Winelands. It all starts at the Anura Wine Farm tasting room, which is located on the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountain, with panoramic views overlooking vineyards, ponds and fynbos. This beautiful setting, along with fine wines and handcrafted cheeses, provides a memorable tasting experience. Taste Forest Hill cheeses like flavoured mountain cheese to brie, camembert and marisch paired with an array of Anura wines.
The next stop is the cheese capital of the wine lands: Fairview. There’s a wide range of wines and cheeses available to choose from at the Fairview wine and cheese pairing, including a selection from the single vineyard range. Your tasting also includes a selection of 6 to 8 of Fairview’s Jersey milk and goat’s milk cheeses. Without a doubt, the most recognisable members of the Fairview team are the goats who call the famous tower their home. The tower was built in 1981 and its residents are well known around the Winelands.
The next stop on the tour is Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, situated in the magnificent Paarl valley, 40 kilometres from Cape Town, and nestled between the granite hills of the Paarl Rock Mountains. The experienced staff will lead a guided tasting of the different wine ranges.
The last stop on the cheese tour is Babylonstoren, for wine tasting and a beautiful walk through the amazing garden.
4. Bicycle Tour of Stellenbosch
The bicycle tour of Stellenbosch tour combines the beautiful scenery and sites of Historic Stellenbosch with excellent wine pairings and some healthy outdoor exercise. The tour starts 9:00 at the Adventure shop office. Each rider will collect a bike and helmet to suit their size (E-Bikes also available at an additional cost). The tour guide will carry a snack pack for each rider and the guide will have space in the backpack for those who would like to buy wine en-route.
The tour starts with a historic tour of Stellenbosch, visiting some of the historic sites in town. You will cycle through Stellenbosch and head to the scenic Jonkershoek Valley. A winding road through oak and poplar forests will take you to a wine estate nestled in the valley bottom, here you can take in the stunning views while doing wine tasting of award-winning wines on an island in a lake. On the way out of the valley, you will stop at another wine estate which sports beautiful grounds and historic Cape Dutch architecture. You will then do a cellar tour before starting the Chocolate and Wine pairing that will make your taste buds tingle.
After the tasting, the tour will head back into Stellenbosch Town via the Stellenbosch University before ending the tour again at our office.

5. Franschhoek Village Art Route Tour
The village abounds with galleries presenting works of art from a staggering number of artists. Some are easy to find, others are hidden and unexpected. This guided village art route tour will reveal the hidden gems waiting to be discovered. There are more than 20 art galleries in our little town and a number of artists living among us whom we can visit to see them in their studios.
Optional Extra: As the last stop you will visit the fabulous Pierneef exhibition (one of South Africa’s most famous artists) at a world-class vineyard and then enjoy an elegant afternoon Winelands High Tea experience in the garden. Enjoy the estate’s Winelands Tea in the restaurant, on the stoep or in the picturesque garden. The offerings include sausage rolls, savoury tarts, choux pastries, macaroons, soet-koekies and tea cake with tea or Coffee. Available Tuesday to Sunday from 3 pm to 4.30 pm at R200 per person.
