Lanzerac Hotel and Spa
In my opinion, the best wine farm in Stellenbosch is Lanzerac. There is no better location to taste wine. Let’s talk instead about the hotel. One of the best hotels in Stellenbosch is for sure the Lanzerac.
The smallest room is a massive 40 square meters. It is soft and cozy and has a great, big bathroom with the most luxurious bathtub for a relaxing soak after a day of sightseeing. If you can provide it, go for the suite. It’s big and has a porch that looks out onto the beautiful garden.

The hotel has two pools (why stop at one?! ), a spa, a fitness center, a restaurant, and a bar where you can sip a glass of Chardonnay and look out at the view. Breakfast is part of the price, and it’s great. Everything works fine with Wi-Fi.
Spier Hotel Stellenbosch
You can’t help but love this wine estate, which also has one of the most excellent hotels in Stellenbosch. Spier tries to do everything in the most environmentally and socially friendly way possible. For example, it recycles most of the water it uses and gives money to projects that help young artists in the area.
Don’t miss the art studio and gallery on the property. There are paintings on the restaurant’s walls and sculptures throughout the garden. They also make great wines. With so much to watch forward to, the fact that even the most basic room at Spier is 60 square meters won’t make you sad.
All the rooms face the well-kept garden and have a large bathroom and a fireplace for when it’s cold. There is even a table if you want to order room service. Spier hotel Stellenbosch has a nice pool, a spa, a bar, and an eight-seat restaurant. Breakfast is part of the cost. Wi-Fi works well in all public spaces and rooms.
Majeka is one of Stellenbosch’s best restaurants. It is known for the delicious food it serves, which is made with organic, local, seasonal ingredients. It’s also one of the most excellent hotels in Stellenbosch, which is good news. You won’t miss the chance to stay there because it’s in the middle of nature and only a 10-minute drive from the town center.
All the rooms at Majeka House are very big. Some look out at the mountains, while others at the garden and pool. They all have excellent chairs and tables outside to enjoy your morning coffee in the fresh air. Some rooms even have bathtubs that look like they came from the 1800s. The hotel has a bar, a spa, a wellness center, and two swimming pools, one indoor, so you can use it even when it’s cold outside. You can also count on Wi-Fi that works well.
Twice Central Guest House
The friendly staff will make you feel at home when you walk into Twice Central. This guest house is just a few steps from Dorp Street. It has a beautiful dining room and an equally lovely living room with a fireplace, bookshelves, and plenty of space for guests to relax after a day of sightseeing.
There is a small, clean pool and a well-kept garden. The Wi-Fi is friendly and fast if you need to check your email. The rooms are big and comfortable, and they come with a large window, a balcony, and a modern bathroom. The price includes a great breakfast with a menu that changes every day.
De Haas Luxury Living
De Haas is the best luxury place to stay in Stellenbosch. It has apartments of different sizes that are all well-designed. You can choose between two locations in the middle of town, which are close enough to restaurants and bars that you can walk to.
Prices start at USD 129 for a one-bedroom apartment, which is perfect for couples. I stayed in one of them and found it very comfortable, large, and fully equipped. The two-bedroom apartment is excellent for a family or a group of friends.
All the apartments have a kitchen and a dining room, so you can cook your meals and eat in. There is a living room with a comfortable couch and a huge TV, as well as a modern bathroom. For a little extra fee, you can perform your laundry. All guests can use Wi-Fi for free.
