Chimfunshi Animal Orphanage

Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage gets all of its money from donations and sponsorships. Without the money our valued Donors, volunteers, and visitors give, the sanctuary and the animals who live there would be unable to stay alive. We have many ways for people who want to start supporting our programs to do so. Chimfunshi has different sponsorship programs that you can choose from based on your interests. These programs are great for the environment, wildlife, and communities where we work.

One of the biggest chimpanzee reserves in the world, Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage Trust is well-known globally. Chimfunshi is home to 120 chimpanzees. Most of them live in 4 large enclosures with many trees, which are as close as possible to their natural habitat. Find out from our knowledgeable Keepers what we have in common with our closest relatives.

The National Park of Blue Lagoon

The unknown jewel known as Blue Lagoon National Park is infrequently included on a safari in Zambia. During the dry season, the park is made up of beautiful, dry plains that turn into a wetland wonderland when it rains.

The park was started by a retired British Army colonel and his wife, Erica Critchley. The land was sold to the National Parks Department by a farming family who loved the outdoors. Their farm is still there and is now the park’s front desk.

The park is in the county of Zambia, in the district of Mumbwa. It covers a total area of 420 km2. It is only 120 km west of Lusaka. Thousands of Kafue lechwe, zebra, sitatunga, some buffalo, and many waterfowl live on the plains. The Acacia forests border the plains, and this park is a bird watcher’s dream.

Mukuni Big Five Safaris

The best location to go when you want to have fun with friends and family is this animal park in Livingstone, Zambia. They offer different things to do, like a cruise on the Zambezi River, elephant rides, and cheetah rides. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you shouldn’t miss if you’re ever in Zambia.

It is one of Africa’s most popular places to visit and travel to because of its beauty. If you like being outside, there are many things to do in Victoria Falls all year. Tourists can get close to the beautiful, rumbling water, which lets nature lovers in Zambia see many interesting things.

Kabwata Cultural Village

Kabwata Cultural Village is a traditional-style exchange center with roofed cabins where you can learn about Zambian crafts. With 80 artists from nine parts of Zambia living there, the town has a good selection of wood carvings, woven baskets, jewelry, veils, drums, and traditionally designed textures.

The Zambian government bought the center to protect the traditional way of life of the area’s people. It is a relic from when this area was on the frontier and had similar homes. You can watch skilled workers work on their items, and sometimes live performers are on the site. You can also find a traditional restaurant in the town.

Kalimba Reptile Park

The best way to spend a day at Kalimba Reptile Park is to take the half-hour drive from Lusaka. Not only is the park open every day, but the park is also a working farm. Tours can be led by people specially trained to do so. Giant Nile crocodiles, a wide range of native snakes, tortoises, and other reptiles are among the scaly residents. The slender-nosed crocodile can still be seen at this site, one of the few places you can see it.

You can try Croc burgers, which are a specialty of Kalimba. People say that it tastes exactly like chicken. There is also other food; all beef, pork, and fish come from a farm next door. At the front desk, you can get ice cream, soft drinks, and alcoholic drinks.

There is also a farm shop on the Kalimba Farm that sells various goods at farm prices. Some products are bream, crocodile tail, chops, and sausages.

Copperbelt Museum

The Copperbelt Museum is one of Zambia’s most important modern and contemporary museums. It is in the city of Ndola. The museum always adds new or important past works to its collection.
