2 Oceans Aquarium
History
The V&A Aquarium opened its doors in December 1995, making it the first public aquarium to be established in South Africa. The 25 000 square-meter facilities are located at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, and house over three thousand aquatic organisms from a variety of South African habitats. The aquarium’s main displays center around six unique exhibits, each representing a different environment within the two oceans – the Indian and Atlantic oceans.
